Thank you for another amazing issue of the DART. I love reading each story as it gives me a good picture of what’s happening on and off campus with the STA students. I am grateful that you covered the banning of the book “WILD: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail”. I have a freshman daughter who was affected by this banning. After reading your article, I would like to know just how many parents complained. It would be a sad state of affairs if it was a loud minority. I have always supported the STA administration and will continue to do so, but was completely disappointed by this banning decision. I agree whole-hardheartedly with Ms. Jacquin in that STA provides a safe environment in which to discuss these mature topics. I feel these discussions need to take place in today’s world.
Thank you,
